Footgolf on the Exe

Footgolf was a great success!

Nine members of the Adventure Group met for a round of Footgolf up near the Marine Barracks on the way to Exmouth. We didn’t have to slip and slide and wear wellies. The weather was beautiful and the sun shone which was a real bonus. One member who can remain anonymous even braved shorts!! The course also has beautiful views over the Exe estuary and this contributed to a very pleasant afternoon kicking a football around a crazy golf course. The exercise was not too strenuous, we all managed the trick shots through the gates, through tunnels, into the hoops and even over the water hazard.
Nick had his eyes on the winner’s podium even before we started – justified as it turns out. He was the winner but we couldn’t stretch to spraying him with celebratory champagne. Coffee and ice cream enjoyed afterwards instead.

All in all I would recommend the activity. Such a shame the other group missed out.
I will look forward to other outings with the Adventure Group and many thanks to Deborah, the organiser. Come and join us!!
