Dawlish and District U3A meet on the Lawn, Monday August 3rd 2020

After months of not being able to meet, the Committee decided it was time to get out and meet our U3A friends.  Observing all the guidance on distance, sanitizing and other necessary advice, over 30 members enjoyed a sunny afternoon of chat, catching up with news, making plans and cheerful optimism.  Members brought their own seats or blankets, and their own refreshments.

All those who met enjoyed the afternoon so much that immediately plans are in place to continue to meet every other Monday until the weather becomes unsuitable.  Look out for details on the weekly Newsletter.

Apart from the fun of meeting each other, the organisers believe that these gatherings will give many members the confidence for interest groups to meet in members’ gardens or other open spaces, as well as on Zoom, by email or by other means.
