Adventure group – Archery
At last! The long-awaited, much anticipated archery adventure is here!
This is what you need to know:

| Date and start time | Thursday 15th September 10 to 11:30am and 2 to 3:30pm and Friday 16th September 10am to 11:30am and 2 to 3:30pm Please aim to arrive there about 15 minutes before the start time. |
| Duration | 75 to 90 minutes (depends on group size) |
| Cost, including deposit required | £20 per person, including £5 deposit. |
| Cost includes | “The introductory archery experience starts with a few practice arrows with tuition to warm you up. Following the warm up, your teams will compete in a variety of challenging games, including Colours, High 5, Balloons and many more.” (From their website) |
| Equipment provided | All necessary equipment. |
| Deadline for commitment | Please notify Miggie by Saturday 27th August if you wish to attend. Please indicate your availability for the given dates. She will then be able to confirm the booking. |
| How and when to pay | Please pay the £5 deposit to D&D u3a by Monday 29th August (bank details below).
The balance (£15) is payable by Monday 11th September. D&D bank details are as follows: Name of bank: NatWest Please note, it is really important that you add the reference so our Treasurer knows what the funds are for. Cheque payments: |
| Cancellation policy | Cancellation at any time will incur loss of deposit.
If you are unable to attend please notify Miggie as soon as possible so she can try to find someone to take your place. |
| Procedure for notifying group if provider cancels | In the event of cancellation Miggie will send an email to all those who have booked and update the details on the website.
Please check the website on the morning of the activity in case of last minute cancellation. |
| Level of fitness required or any particular skills (you must satisfy yourself that you are physically able to participate in the activity). | You can expect to be standing for the duration of the activity. |
| Personal medical conditions | If you have any medical conditions that might affect your ability to join in with this activity then you should declare this to the instructor on arrival. |
| Terms and conditions | You will be expected to complete an activity disclaimer form on arrival. |
| Disclaimer | Please note that whilst the u3a organisers are concerned for everyone’s welfare, by taking part in this activity you should recognise that your safety is your own responsibility. |
| Appropriate footwear & clothing | Casual indoor clothing; footwear with covered toes. |
| Toilet / refreshment facilities | Toilets, a restaurant and bar are all available on site. |
| Public transport and car parking | Free car parking is available on site.

| COVID-19 | Although COVID rules have been relaxed, we ask group members to respect each others’ personal space and ensure physical distancing where possible. It is recommended that you take hand sanitiser. Lateral flow tests and face masks are optional but encouraged. |
