Literature group – February 2021
It is many months since our lovely group was able to gather together to discuss our books. However, this has not deterred us and each month the Devon Libraries have kindly delivered one of our choices to Dawlish in order that I can collect and distribute them to our members. (Observing the lockdown rules). We have, therefore enjoyed some interesting and very diverse reading, and we have shared our reviews and personal impressions with each other either by phone or emails, which has kept us in touch and given us lots of pleasure.
The last 2 books couldn’t have been more of a contrast:
- A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Husseini
- Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day by Winifred Watson
Our February book is Trespass by Rose Tremain.
