Gardens and Gateaux trip to Bicton Park

Some of the group visited Bicton Park botanical gardens in June.

The 60 acres site offered plenty of variety with beautiful formal gardens, as well as a Tropical house, Palm house, Countryside Museum and much more.

We took a trip on the Woodland railway that gave excellent views of the lake and many exotic trees. I was impressed by how well the grounds where kept, no doubt with the help of the students of the Agricultural college in Bicton house.

The group are now looking forward to the next trip in a few weeks’ time.
