Covid-19 – guidance for members – March 2022
The following message from our Chair was circulated to all Dawlish & District u3a members on 15th March 2022
In the light of the decision by the government to remove legal restrictions relating to Covid-19, I understand members would welcome some updated guidance from the Committee about how we organise our monthly and interest group meetings. I hope you find the following suggestions helpful and provide some reassurance:
- It hardly needs saying that all members should respect the needs and concerns of other members when taking part in any meeting or activity.
- You should not take part in meetings if you have symptoms of Covid-19 or if you are asked to stay at home and self-isolate.
- Venues should be well-ventilated.
- Seating should be spaced as generously as possible.
- Hand sanitiser will be provided in the Manor House, and hosts of other meetings should consider providing sanitiser or encourage members to bring their own.
- If you wish to use a face mask, then you are encouraged to do so, but of course wearing a face mask is not mandatory.
- Please continue to consider your contact with other people attending meetings and give space where possible.
I hope this helps all members to feel confident and able to enjoy meetings in the weeks and months to come.
