Beer and Skittles – September 2022 report

For the first time since lockdown, my husband Dave and I joined the enthusiastic Beer and Skittles group for a fun and competitive evening of – yep – skittles and beer.  I joined in the skittles bit and Dave embraced the beer element and a great time was had by both of us.

To be honest, I’m a bit erratic in my bowling skills (as you can see on the scoreboard) but nobody seemed at all bothered at my inconsistent performance.  We were made very welcome and enjoyed meeting a number of new people.

If you’d like to come along to the next session, I’m sure the organisers, Mike and Diane Brandon, would be happy to see you.  The group meets at the Brunswick Arms on the third Thursday of the month.  The usual start time is 6:45 for 7pm.
