Adventure group – Segwaying
For our next adventure we are returning to Haldon Forest, but this time we’ll be exploring by Segway!
Here’s what you need to know:

If you are using a satnav the postcode will lead you the first entrance on the left, which is the service road. Ignore this and take the next entrance on your left. Full directions and a map are available here. |
Date and start time | Friday 29th April at 1pm. Please aim to arrive there about 30 mins before to complete paperwork. |
Duration | 2 hours |
Cost, including deposit required | £33 per person |
Cost includes | Two hours of fully instructor-led Segway experience for beginners. |
Equipment provided | Segway and safety helmet. |

Deadline for commitment | Please notify Ann by Sunday 3rd April at 8pm. She will then confirm the booking and request payment. |
Deadline for payment in full | Please pay in full by Sunday 10th April at 5pm.

Procedure for notifying group if provider cancels | Segwaying is weather-dependent and subject to cancellation at late notice.
In the event of cancellation Ann will send an email to all those who have booked and update the details on the website. Please check the website on the morning of the activity in case of last minute cancellation. |
Level of fitness required or any particular skills (you must satisfy yourself that you are physically able to participate in the activity). | You will need to be able to:

Personal medical conditions | If you have any medical conditions that might affect your ability to Segway then you should declare this to Go-Segway on arrival. |

Appropriate footwear & clothing | Weather-suitable clothing (casual sportswear is ideal); sturdy trainers and gloves. You MUST bring your own gloves (not fingerless) or you will not be permitted to ride.
You will also be required to wear a helmet, which is provided. |
Toilet / refreshment facilities | Toilets and a cafe are available on site. |
Public transport and car parking facilities | Plentiful car parking is available on site. There is a charge for parking.
If you require or can offer a lift then please contact Ann who will make the necessary arrangements. |
Meeting point | On the outside seats for the cafe next to the main car park, at 12:30pm. |
COVID-19 | Go Segway are COVID aware and ensure all equipment is cleaned between uses.
Although COVID rules have been relaxed, we ask group members to respect each others’ personal space and ensure physical distancing where possible. It is recommended that you take hand sanitiser. Lateral flow tests and face masks are optional but encouraged. |
