Adventure Group – Archery February 2024

In February we are taking advantage of the indoor venue at Ashcombe Shooting ground to have another go at Archery.

Date and start time Friday 23rd February 10am to 12 noon or Thursday 29th February 10am to 12 noon
Please aim to arrive there about 15 minutes before the start time.
Duration 75 to 90 minutes (depends on group size)
Cost, including deposit required £20 per person, including £5 deposit.
Cost includes “Our fun and friendly archery experience begins with a safety briefing and a chance for everyone to familiarize themselves with their bow before some fun and exciting activities under the watchful gaze of our instructors.

It’s a really fun and enjoyable activity to run as a group and with scoring rounds as well as a finale that ends with a bang there’s plenty of opportunity for some friendly rivalry and banter along the way.” (From their website)

Equipment provided All necessary equipment.
Deadline for commitment Please notify Miggie by as soon as possible if you wish to attend. Please indicate your availability for the given dates.  She will then be able to confirm the booking and allocate participants to dates.
How and when to pay Please pay the £5 deposit to D&D u3a by Sunday 11th February (bank details below).

The balance (£15) is payable by Sunday 18th February.

Please note, it is really important that you add the reference so our Treasurer knows what the funds are for.

Cheque payments:
Bank transfers are preferred but if you wish to pay by cheque please ensure the Treasurer has your cheque in sufficient time for it to clear by the deadline.

Cancellation policy Cancellation at any time will incur loss of deposit.

If you are unable to attend please notify Miggie as soon as possible so she can try to find someone to take your place.

Procedure for notifying group if provider cancels In the event of cancellation Miggie will send an email to all those who have booked and update the details on the website.

Please check the website on the morning of the activity in case of last minute cancellation.

Level of fitness required or any particular skills (you must satisfy yourself that you are physically able to participate in the activity). You can expect to be standing for the duration of the activity.
Personal medical conditions If you have any medical conditions that might affect your ability to join in with this activity then you should declare this to the instructor on arrival.
Terms and conditions You will be expected to complete an activity disclaimer form on arrival.

Appropriate footwear & clothing Casual indoor clothing; footwear with covered toes.
Toilet / refreshment facilities Toilets, a restaurant and bar are all available on site.
