Monthly Meeting, 2.45pm on 20th May 2024: Dr Todd Gray, The Cathedral Yard Fire and Exeter’s Historic Buildings
Our next guest speaker will be familiar to many of us. His topic is the Cathedral Yard Fire and Exeter’s Historic Buildings. Dr Gray is a research fellow at Exeter University, and is immersed in all matters relating to local history. His talk is sure to be of considerable interest – and especially to those of us who would love to know how long the work to restore the buildings of the cathedral close following the fire in the Royal Clarence Hotel in 2016! As those who heard Dr Gray speak on Devon and Slave Plantations in 2022 will know, he is an excellent speaker and I hope you will want to hear him again.
