Dawlish and District U3A launches new logo, branding and website

In the modern age, organisations of all kinds need to present themselves to the world in a professional and eye-catching fashion. In a crowded marketplace, logos, branding and strap lines make all the difference when it comes to communicating effectively with audiences. This is why members of Dawlish & District U3A have worked hard for several months on a project to update the ways the group communicates with the local community. A new logo will appear on banners and posters, as well as the redesigned website and newsletter.

The Chair, Graham Carey, believes the new logo makes a striking and attractive statement. It visualises an organisation which brings people together to enjoy a wide range of stimulating and lively leisure and learning activities. The new strap line is a development of the National U3A’s well established version, but with a more dynamic and engaging tone to it.

He said, ‘We are looking forward to seeing our message of ‘Learning, Laughing and Living’ communicated across our community. I believe it will encourage people who are no longer in employment but who are seeking ways to find new interests and social activities, to find out more.’

The Dawlish & District U3A has been very fortunate to have David Pickton amongst its members. David’s highly successful career in marketing has included periods in the commercial sector as well as lecturing and teaching in universities. Members of the Marketing Group have learned a huge amount from his skills and experience. Nothing better demonstrates the U3A’s purpose than the work of this group where members have come together to share their expertise and knowledge with each other, and have had great fun in the process.

There will be an official launch of the new logo, website and other materials at the next monthly meeting at 2pm on Monday 17th February in the Methodist Church Hall, Brunswick Place, Dawlish.

We are extremely grateful to Angie Weatherhead of Weatherheads Web for all her hard work in updating and improving the Dawlish and District U3A website.
