Strollers Social Walking Group – October 2024

Here are the details of our next Dawlish & District u3a Monthly Strollers Walk on Thursday October 10th to the Ridgetop Park at Exminster.

We are catching the number 2 Exeter bus which leaves Teignmouth at 12.19pm or the same bus from Dawlish at 12.35pm.

We’ll be getting off the bus at the very far end of Exminster ie at the stop before the roundabout. As there is no pavement we need to cross the road by the petrol station then a few metres on cross back over. We then take the footpath which leads up into Ridgetop park. NB the access is up a reasonably short but quite steep climb via a field. Once on the ridge there are three lovely areas to explore with seating, viewpoints and information boards, so it is well worth the climb.

We return to Exminster via the longer route ie Deepway Lane. Refreshments are available at either the pub or community cafe before we catch our bus home. Buses leave on the hour and half hour.
