Quad biking adventures

On 28th April four adventurers set out from Dawlish for a quad bike adventure. For me this was a second trip on quad bikes, although at a different venue and I was hoping that it would at least match the thrill of the first.

On arrival after checking in and signing off the usual disclaimer forms, we were issued with helmets and spine protectors and made our way to the waiting bikes. We then watched a safety video detailing how to ride safely and the definite do’s and don’ts during  our ride, with the threat that any infringement would result in the entire group being halted.

Around fields, tracks, hills and even a bluebell copse, great fun.

And then on to the bikes, large powerful beasts, newly arrived in February. One by one we started up and made our way out for three practice laps. First obstacle was a large deep muddy puddle followed by ups, downs,  steep turns and specific breaking points. Once we signalled to the leader that we were happy, and in turn he was happy with our progress we set off in convoy along the tracks.

And yes it definitely did match up my previous experience and we all agreed that we wouldn’t mind another visit.
