Strollers Social Walking Group – November 2024
An enjoyable October Strollers walk to the Ridgetop Park in Exminster was followed by refreshments at a new venue for us, the lovely community cafe at the Victory Hall in Exminster.
Our November Dawlish and District u3a Strollers walk is on Thursday November 14th. After the short steep climb last month, this next walk will be a level and downhill stroll. We may have some new walkers join us as I’ve been sent three more names of people who wish to come along to our walks.
From the Dawlish seafront bus stop catch the number 2 Newton Abbot bus at 12.36pm to the stop opposite the Minidab between Holcombe and Teignmouth or from Teignmouth catch the 12.19pm Exeter bus from bus stop by WH Smith’s bus to the Minidab.
We’ll walk down Love Lane then explore the footpaths as we descend Mules Park/ Eastcliff on the way down to the railway bridge. From there we’ll walk along Teignmouth seafront to the Point car park then on via the back beach and sand quay to a cafe for our refreshment break before heading back home.
Our December walk will be a little more strenuous. We’ll get the bus from Teignmouth up to Hazeldown school, then we’ll walk up the short but steep Breakneck Hill and on down the back road to Dawlish via the country lane with a ford (Aller Hill).
We have a train trip suggestion for our Jan 2025 walk – catch the train to Exmouth and then a stroll along the seafront.
