Adventure Group – Gong bath
December’s activity will be completely new to many people but hopefully a fascinating experience. We will be enjoying a “Gong Bath”. According to our provider, a Gong Bath offers physical, mental, emotional and spiritual benefits.
“The Gong is an ancient instrument that has been used as a form of sound healing since around 4,000 B.C. The gong creates waves of sound that are profoundly relaxing; the sounds go beyond the intellectual part of the brain to the core of your nervous system, activating the parasympathetic nervous system and prompting the body to heal and detoxify.” (Source)
| Name of activity | Gong Bath |
| Nature of activity |
“This is a non-invasive therapy. In a Gong Bath session, you keep your clothes on and snuggle up with blankets and pillows. All you have to do is relax, enjoy and let the sound wash over you. (No water or baths involved!). The sounds and vibrations ‘bathe’ the body, releasing blockages and allowing energy to flow freely.” (Source) |
