Adventure group go karting

Members of the adventure group had a very exciting session at Raceworld.  Once we had arrived and were given a brief of what to expect, we were kitted out with a balaclava and helmet. That done, we were all ready to go and were assigned a go-kart.

Because we were short on numbers we had to share the track with other people. There were 15 of us in all and we quickly learnt the others were very experienced and fast.

Once we had got used to the karts themselves, we were confident enough and enjoyed the thrill of going round the track, overtaking if possible or, like myself, taking my time and causing hold ups; but it was a great afternoon!
