Adventure Group – Dartmoor Estate Tea tour and tasting

Did you know that tea is grown here in Devon? Well this is your chance to see it growing and sample the output with a tour and tasting at Dartmoor Estate Tea.

Note: the estate is quite tucked away and it is difficult to see the turn off.
If coming from the Ashburton direction turn left opposite Boniface House which will be on the right.

Date and start time Monday 31st August 2026 at 2pm
Cost £15 per person
Cost includes Guided tour of the Dartmoor Estate Tea plantation and tea tasting afterwards.
Duration The tour will take 1.5 hours
Meeting point At the car parking area.
Deadline for commitment Please notify Carolyn as soon as possible but by Friday 21st August at the latest if you wish to come on this adventure.
Deadline for payment The full balance of £15 per person to be paid by Friday 21st August.

Cheque payments:
Bank transfers are preferred but if you wish to pay by cheque please ensure the Treasurer has your cheque in sufficient time for it to clear by the deadline.

Cancellation policy Full refund for cancellation up to the Friday 21st August 2026.
Loss of all payment thereafter (unless you can find somebody else to take your place).
Please notify Carolyn as soon as possible if you need to cancel.
Procedure for notifying group if provider cancels In the event of cancellation Carolyn will send an email to all those who have booked and update the details on the website.
Please check the website on the morning of the activity in case of last minute cancellation.
Level of fitness required or any particular skills (you must satisfy yourself that you are physically able to participate in the activity). Moderate fitness required on pathways. 
Personal medical conditions If you have any medical conditions that might affect your ability to complete the walk then you should declare this to the organisers on arrival.
Disclaimer Please note that whilst the u3a organisers are concerned for everyone’s welfare, by taking part in this activity you should recognise that your safety is your own responsibility.
Appropriate footwear & clothing Weather-appropriate everyday clothing and comfortable footwear. Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen if needed.
Toilet / refreshment facilities Tea and toilets are available. Cafes are available locally but not on site.
Storage of personal belongings There is a secure place to keep valuables.
Accessibility There is partial wheelchair access to the site and grounds.
Public transport and car parking facilities Limited car parking is available at Dartmoor Estate Tea.
