About Vanessa Ryley

I retired from teaching pupils up to to the age of 16 years who had special educational needs in 2011. Since then I have owned and run my own tea room and followed and developed some of my interests.

I was a founder member of Dawlish Against Plastic in 2018 and also became the Surfers Against Sewage plastic free community lead for Dawlish.

The talk will still be entitled ‘Let’s Talk Rubbish‘ and will focus on some of the work that Dawlish Against Plastic undertakes in the community and the major problems and challenges that single-use plastic now presents to all of us personally.  There will also be some focus on Teignbridge District Council as the local authority tasked with dealing with our rubbish.
