Adventure Group – forthcoming adventures

Following on from our discussions at the last Adventure Group meeting, Ann and I are delighted to present our plans for the next few months.

In selecting the activities (and adding a couple of own own) we are mindful of some group members’ wishes to include some less expensive options and to intersperse the popular adrenalin adventures with some gentler activities.

So … drum roll please… we offer you:

2022

June: Quad biking (Ann) (already arranged)

July: Town quiz and scavenger hunt, followed by optional pub meal (Miggie)

August: White water rafting or RIB ride (subject to availability) (Ann)

September: Archery (Miggie)

October: Caving (Ann)

November: Manor House, Okehampton short break (Ann)

December: Sequence dancing (Miggie)

2023

January: Tobogganing (Miggie)

February: Drumming workshop (Ann)

This list leaves two activities remaining from the list produced at the meeting – Go karting and either White water rafting or RIB rides, depending on what Ann is able to arrange in August.  We hope to do these later in 2023 when the weather improves.

All adventures are open to all Dawlish & District u3a members and the full details are always made available in our web news.  If you belong to the Adventure Group you will also be contacted by email in advance of each activity.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about the group or our adventures then please do get in touch with us via adventure@u3a.dawlish.info.
