Adventure Group meeting – Tuesday 6th January 2026
Longstanding members of the Adventure Group will know that once a year we meet as a group to discuss, choose and vote on potential adventures for the next year. All group members are encouraged to come along.

Meeting date: Tuesday January 6th 2026 at 10am
Place: Mayor’s Parlour, Manor House, Dawlish
In order that we have a varied and interesting choice of activities to consider, you are invited to send in your ideas for future adventures. Some of our best adventures have come from members’ suggestions so please be as imaginative as you like! The purpose of the Adventure Group is “to offer to Dawlish & District u3a members the opportunity to try out new and challenging activities together”. Not everything has to be an extreme sport but we do encourage you to suggest activities that people are less likely to do on their own.
As they come in, your suggestions will be added to the list below and the list will form the basis of our discussions at the meeting.
- Bell boating or Dragon boating at Haven Banks
- Drumming – Drum Devon
- Mackerel fishing – Exe Fishing
- Manor House Okehampton (repeat residential trip)
If you are making a suggestion, it would be helpful if you let us know if you have a particular provider in mind. But don’t worry if you haven’t, someone else in the group may be able to help.
If no provider is listed above and anyone else knows of one, then please let me know and I’ll add it.
