Discussion group – May 2021

We met for the first time this year on the Lawn, wrapped up for the Arctic temperatures and fortified by hot coffee. We talked about the influence of social media particularly with reference to its effect on the pandemic and vaccination programme. Whilst I don’t think we reached any conclusions, there was concern expressed about the difficulty of establishing facts when so many things are subject to so much speculation, all dressed up as being true.

Having lost all feeling in our hands and feet, we adjourned after about an hour, with the hope of warmer temperatures to come. On Monday 10th May at 10.30, we we shall be discussing the topic ‘Is there any possibility of Britain becoming a Republic in the near future?’
