Dawlish and District u3a on social media – help needed

We know that Social Media is the way in which millions of people of all ages and interests communicate with each other.  Businesses, clubs, societies, community groups, families, friends, neighbours and seemingly any combination of people, use Facebook and other media to keep in touch with each other.  Participants make contact with people with similar interests, share news, promote events, and generally enjoy each other’s lives and activities in all sorts of ways.  It’s all very much about everyone getting involved and contributing.

Dawlish & District u3a does not currently have its own Facebook presence, and that leaves our members at a disadvantage.

We therefore have a great opportunity for someone who already enjoys using Facebook, or wants to take on a new challenge, to take the lead for our u3a and help members to get involved.  She or he could not only make a real difference to the success of our Open Day in September, but also help us keep everyone in touch with each other in the future and create new opportunities for our members.  Of course, while the obvious person to do this is an existing member, it could also be a friend or another member of the family (of any age).  The role holder will be invited to join the Dawlish and District u3a committee but this is entirely optional.

If you are interested or know someone else who might take on this role, it would be great to hear from you.

Why not give this some thought?
