Dawlish and District U3A Annual General Meeting
Our AGM was due in May but had to be postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions. There are still restrictions and risks and so the committee have decided to hold this year’s AGM by videoconference using Zoom on Monday 21st September at 2pm.
The AGM will give a report from the Committee on the past year and a Treasurer’s report and account for twelve months ending 31 March 2020; receive any resolutions proposed and carry out the election of Officers and Committee members.
- Closing date for nominations for the committee – 24 August
- Closing date for any motions for consideration at the AGM – 24 August
- Formal notice of the AGM with agenda; details of accessing the meeting; voting arrangements; accounts for 2019/20 to be sent out by 31 August
Nominations for the committee
All existing committee members have to seek re-election each year at the AGM. And we hope that we will have some other members join. The committee can comprise up to 12 members with a minimum of 6.
If you are interested in standing, please complete the nomination form (available here) stating that you are applying for the role of Chair, Vice-chair, Secretary, Treasurer or Committee member.
Only paid up members can stand for the committee, propose or second nominations. Please make sure that the persons you state as nominators have agreed and are paid up members. Existing members of the Committee cannot be nominators.
